New scheduling tools introduced

As part of our ongoing improvement programme, we have deployed Siemens Opcenter as our advanced scheduling tool. Our order book has grown and changed significantly over the past few years; this has brought new challenges for the management team here at Trinity.

We pride ourselves on providing excellent on time delivery performance whilst maintaining our wide range of customer products. Changing customer demands, a wide range of machining techniques and short lead times do not lend themselves easily to production scheduling.

As well as benefitting from accurate scheduling, we have also implemented the Marshal shop floor data capture system. This provides us with real time shop floor information about the status of our production orders. This allows us to maintain a flow of production delivery information to our customers.

Together with the DMG Messenger system we operate, we have enhanced our approach to scheduling. Our schedules are a combination of complex and simple components, from low volume to high volume order quantities. Our scheduling approach means that we can handle them all at the same time.
